The Gariganus farm is home to the famous Quiver Tree Forest. The Quiver Tree Forest is a natural concentration of about 250 trees some of which are two and three centuries old. It was declared a national monument of Namibia in 1995. It’s incongruous to visit the Forest in the middle of the Gariganus farm that is a working farm with cattle, horses and a full coterie of dogs and cats. Stranger yet is the adult female warthog that rules the roost. If you’re planning on checking in you must first get past her at the front door!
