This is the north side of Mt. Hood from near the iconic Cooper Spur shelter. I recently decided to take a backpacking and photography trip where I would use my "adventure " motorcycle to easily navigate the very rough, rocky eleven mile uphill road to the Cooper Spur campground and trailhead. The trip went great! Even loaded with camping and photo gear my motorcycle easily transported me up the very primitive road. I only had to hike a little over a mile before I came to a beautiful, secluded camp spot with a spectacular view of the north face of Mt. Hood! I spent a very nice, peaceful yet windy evening and night sipping scotch and just watching and photographing one of my favorite mountains. Cheers!
