This shot of a family of ducks resting on a downed tree on the shore of Lake Itasca was taken from a moving tour boat from the middle of the lake. This was no easy shot to get without having the luxury of the tripod and with only a maximum of 300mm zoom to use. Perhaps next time, their will be more room on the boat for me to set up the tripod for use with a larger lens.
Duck, duck, duck, duck, duck - Wait! No fair, where's the goose?! This isn't how Duck-duck-goose is supposed to be played.
