Just follow route 132 through the town of Perce, Quebec and you can't miss this famous rock formation.
Using the app PhotoPills I knew the sun would be coming up directly behind Percé Rock, but I didn't know exactly where to position myself on the beach to get the sun in the arch. When I could tell the sun was starting to appear above the horizon (by the glare on the town's buildings) I ran down the beach until I saw the sun shining directly through the arch. Amazingly, I had the beach all to myself this morning.
