Palouse Falls in Palouse Falls State Park is a large waterfall set in a spectacular, natural amphitheater. I stayed overnight at the state park campground to take some sunset and moon lit photos of the falls. The next morning I made sure to get up early for the sunrise. A little before dawn the light cast a golden glow on the amphitheater and surrounding hills. After going to what I thought would be the best location to capture images, I scrambled to this viewpoint instead for better images. Given the high contrast between the sky and amphitheater, I shot two images at different exposures and blended them during processing.
