From Salt Lake City, drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon
Bug spray sounds nice, but it can actually have a negative long term effect on these wildflower sanctuaries. If you must use it, try a kind without Deet. Citronella, Lemon, and Eucalyptus are all good options. Or you could roll around in the mud like a rhino until your entire body is caked in mud! Up to you.
I was sitting in a field, alone in the dark, being eaten alive by mosquitos when the sun began to rise and illuminate the landscape around me. I knew I was in for a treat. Wildflowers abound in Albion Basin, but great light can be fickle. On this morning I was lucky and was treated to a beautiful sunrise. The clouds glowed pink and the sun reflected nicely off of Devil's Castle in the background. It was a great morning to be a photographer.
