Used a tripod, cpl, and 2 exposures. 1 for the water and one for everything else. Used manual exposure blending in Photoshop, because HDR looking images are not my thing.
Roaring Fork Motor Trail is a 6 mile paved motor loop with some of the most amazing lush green mossy cascades, and waterfalls I've ever seen. Went one morning while on vacation with the family in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I parked my truck and walked no more than 30 yards for this photo. To be honest the road drive right over this view, and if you don't mind shooting a little to the left you can shoot this very photo from your vehicle. What makes this photo special to me is that there is this lush green vegetation everywhere. Green mossy rocks, leaves, grasses, and then where 2 trees have died in the distance the light comes pouring in. I shot this photo in a summer rainstorm standing in the creek barefoot. Foggy mist and light compliment the green well in this photo.
