The only national park completely within my home state of Nevada is Great Basin National Park. Although it is not exactly a frequently visited park compared with others in the west (e.g. Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon), it is nonetheless a fascinating place with interesting geology (e.g. caves) and a vibrant wilderness high in the desert. One of the more beautiful locations within the park is Stella Lake, which is an ideal spot to catch reflections of 13,000-foot Wheeler Peak (pictured here).
