A few miles north of Seattle.
Owls apparently aren't very afraid of humans, or at least this one isn't, affording me lots of time to take nearly all the shots I want. I try to use my 400mm on birds in flight, but this owl's visit caught me with my 70-200mm lens on my Canon 5D Mark IV. Didn't want to chance a change of lenses:)
This Barred Owl began hanging out near our squirrel-heavy yard, giving me lots of photo opps and lots of anxiety for the well-being of the squirrels:) I'd been photographing this one for too long, obviously, and she took off -- fortunately, I'd had her in my sights!
