Description

A bald eagle flys off with a fish it just caught in a shallow pond on a cloudy day. Eagles seem to know when there is a flash freeze and then a thaw there will be an abundance of fish that don't make it through the temperature changes. In shallow waters, these fish can be easy for the eagles to see. Photographing this behavior just takes looking for the same fish in the water, focusing your camera on that area and waiting for the eagle to fly down to snatch the fish.
