Description

A flock of mallard ducks fly against the fall colors at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge, a popular spot for photographers in late fall and early winter, attracts thousands of migrating birds. Most photographers are there for the snow geese and sandhill cranes. Although I photograph those birds as well, I also enjoy the wide variety of waterfowl that enjoy the ponds set against the late season fall colors.
