Brief Directions

This shot was taken at around the 1 mile mark on the left-hand loop around Crystal, Colorado at Lost Trail Creek.

Notes

This was taken with a Formatt-Hitech 82mm polarizer, a Sony A7RIII and the G-Master 24-70 mm lens at f/22, ISO 100 for 1.6 seconds at 34mm.

Description

So the trail to Crystal Mill actually splits into two directions, the lower trail close to Crystal River and the upper trail, a continuation of the incredibly strenuous ascent that takes you in a loop to the mill after several more miles. I mistakenly took the upper trail and hiked for about 1 mile when I reached Lost Trail Creek. I stopped to catch the sunrise and the glow of the golden aspens reflecting in the water.
