Death Valley National Park, the largest park in the Lower 48 states, is on the border of California and Nevada, between the towns of Beatty, Nevada and Lone Pine, California.
To freeze the action I shot this at 1/640th second at f/8, ISO 200. The RAW file was adjusted in Adobe Lightroom.
My son Thomas runs down a sand dune ridge, on a family trip to Death Valley National Park for Thanksgiving. My kids often accompanied me as I was researching and photographing locations for my guidebook "Photographing California Vol. 2. - South", so they grew up with the sand dunes of Death Valley as their sandbox!
