Tide Pool Reflections

I live in land locked Colorado, so when I get a chance to travel to the coasts I always pack the camera. On a recent trip to Maine I was able to sneak out in the mornings to capture the sunrise at the Portland Head Lighthouse. As it was the first time I had visited the location for photography, I was a bit overwhelmed by the eye candy. I got several wonderful captures during the trip, but this one sticks to me the most. It was difficult to pull myself from the waves a few yards to the left, but I saw the reflections in the tide pool and I couldn't resist. This is a seven shot HDR, and the sheen on the rocks I later discovered was not water, but ice.
