On a July trip around Wyoming, Montana and Idaho I had a lot of ghost towns on my wish list. I'm a sucker for the history, the patina of an old building, the details, the lines. This is one of two buildings in Montana's smallest state park, Elkhorn State Park. Elkhorn was a silver mining boom town and this building, Gillian Hall and it's neighbor, Frontier Hall comprised the social center of the community. Gillian Hall was everything from saloon to meeting house.
