This is a popular ice climb in the Canadian Rockies. It's located near the tiny town of Field, British Columbia which is about a 20 minute drive West of Lake Louise in the the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Thankfully no ice climbers were on this climb the day that this avalanche occurred! The story within the photograph would not have been a happy one if they were!
