Waterville Valley

While cross country skiing on the ski trails at Waterville Valley, this composition and lighting was too good to pass up. Recent warm weather had allowed the brook to run instead of being choked with ice and snow. The backlighting through clouds and flowing snow off the trees made the otherwise static view a bit more dynamic. I used my ski pole as a monopod to help steady my camera.
