Franconia Ridge Clearing Winter Storm

This is one of my favorite winter views during a clearing storm, as the textures of the trees and rocky areas become more apparent than at other times of the year. Not much for fall colors in this view despite it being the White Mountains of NH. Winter is when this view really shines. Timing can be tricky, but a short, steep hike can get you in place before the magic of fresh, pristine conditions are gone.
