Curious Red Fox
Over the span of a few months last year, I had the opportunity to photograph a family of foxes raising kits behind my house. After a couple months, the foxes we're used to me, and they allowed me to get close to them. One morning, the mother fox got particularly curious and trotted up to me, watching me and my camera. Carefully turning around, I was able get this photo of her before she continued exploring. As the kits grew older and began to venture further from the den, the golf course the den was situated on decided to put out traps over the entrances. Distressed, I notified some people in the neighborhood who had taken an interest in the foxes and my photos. After showing them some photos, they decided that something should be done. Luckily, after a few calls, we were able to convince the golf course to take them down before the family got hurt.
