I heard from Parks Canada that they were going to be doing avalanche control work above the popular ice climb, Pilsner Pillar. I drove about an hour to the area and setup safly across the Valley in a pullout from the highway. Then I waited. It didn't take long before the Parks Canada helicopter arrived and started bombing the snow slopes above this climb. This beautiful avalanche was the result of their efforts.
