Description

A gray whale leads her calf through the kelp forest during their migration north from the warm lagoons of Baja to feeding grounds in Alaska. During April and May, we see a steady flow of cow/calf pairs moving north past Big Sur. They swim very close to the base of the cliffs to avoid predation by killer whales. Big Sur's cliffs give us a bird's eye view of this most incredible migration.
