Things were slow at work and the morning came with a great fog over the Los Angeles basin. I told my supervisor I was leaving for a couple of hours and headed up over the hills of the Palos Verdes Peninsula to the ocean in hopes of getting above the fog to see the sunrise. Sure enough, the sun shown over the sea of fog covering the Catalina Channel and up to the cliffs of Palos Verdes. There was this house on the edge of the hill, back-lighted by the sun, which was reflecting on the sea of fog. I set my exposure compensation for -2 stops and was rewarded with this shot.
