I visited Yosemite National Park last August with family. Because we visited shortly after a wildfire had closed the park for many weeks, there were relatively few people. This allowed us to experience ordinarily busy spots relatively crowd-free. This was true of this magical morning at Valley View. My cousin and I had the spot all to ourselves, and I captured this image of him looking up at the granite with the Merced River, Yosemite Valley, and encroaching sunlight in the background.
