Assignment #382: Rule Of Thirds
While rules are meant to be broken, as they say, the rule of thirds is a tried-and-true composition technique that can add interest and intrigue to your images. It’s as simple as mentally dividing the composition with two vertical lines and two horizontal lines, then placing your subject where two of those lines intersect. Submit your best nature, landscape or wildlife images that use the rule of thirds by July 24.—Kristan Ashworth, Managing Editor
The winning images from our weekly assignments are featured on the OP Blog, as well as our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
