Description

10,000 feet up in the White mountains, is the Ancient Bristlecone Pine forest where the oldest recorded living things on earth reside. There is a 4 mile loop trail through absolutely spectacular scenery where the Methuselah tree still lives, over 4800 years old. Due to people taking bits and pieces of it for souvenirs, the Forest Service will no longer tell you WHICH tree it is, but many of the trees there are 3,000 to 4,000 years old.
