I was out on a hike that originated at the Flat Top/Glen Alps trailhead and was going toward the Williwaw Lakes Trail. I never quite made it to the turn toward the lake, as the sun was setting earlier and earlier by this time of year. I was about to call it quits and turn around (after not seeing a hair of an animal for a couple of miles) when I told myself, at the top of this rise, I'll turn around. Lo and behold, there was a group of moose grazing with the Knik Arm and the city of Anchorage below in the distance. They were on the move grazing, but this one stood still long enough for me to grab a couple of frames. I can honestly tell you, it never gets old, even for one second!
