Having just moved from Florida to South Lake Tahoe, this snow stuff is new to me. I was quickly drawn to the endless beauty and the "winter wonderland" landscape that fresh snowfall offers. While hiking around a popular ski area, I was in awe of the pristine landscape created by a heavy snow storm from the day before. Since I was the only one in the area wearing boots instead of skis, I had to act fast when I noticed the perfect placement of the sun hovering over the tree tops. I thew the aperture as high as it would go and adjusted my placement to position the sun on top of a pine tree. I quickly snapped the shutter in between passing skiers.
