This is Gasadalur, one of the most famous scenes in the Faroe Islands. The challenge in taking this photograph was finding the best exposure. I captured multiple images using short to long exposures. Short exposures did not provide enough blur in the waterfall, sea and surf. Long exposures calmed the undulating sea waves, but showed clouds of vapor around the waterfall since there was a strong on-shore wind. The vapor clouds obscured the vertical lines of the waterfall. So I settled on a 6 second exposure that blurred the waterfall and surf, and slightly calmed the sea.
