On the first of September my grandson an I were scheduled to travel the Park Road into the interior of Denali NP. The first snow of the season came early and there was a higher-than-normal chance the road would be closed. Fortunately, the NPS had cleared the road. This was an oportunity to see this part of the park as most guests could only hope for—fresh snow, mostly clear skies and few tourists. The Morning sun lit up the East Face of Mt. Denali across the snow covered Muldrow Glacier, with the Park Road tracing a black swath across the valley, as viewed from near the Eielson Visitor Center.
