As we made out way around the NC 500 we passed Ullapool and made our way to Applecross. The weather was ever-changing but as sure as it would turn for the worst, it would come around with blue skies and soft light. As we left our bothy in Badrallach we approached a mountain range on the left and the skies opened with just enough light to illuminate the range. If you really want to photograph something in Winter in Scotland, you have to be willing to wait a long time for conditions to be just right. Or, you get lucky and the conditions are perfect as you arrive. I wouldn't count on that, but I'll take it!
