I spotted this Belted Kingfisher sitting atop a dead tree stump in some marshy wetlands. He suddenly dove down from his perch, into the water, and flew over to his next perch. I followed him with my camera and took a series of burst shots of the action. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that he had a caught a fish. It happened so fast and it was a good distance away that I never saw the fish. Unfortunately for the Kingfisher, he dropped the fish and didn't get to enjoy his meal.
