The silhouette of saguaro cacti against a colorful sunset is the quintessential "old west" scene. I was thrilled when conditions came together at Saguaro National Park a few years ago to capture exactly this scene. For much of the day, conditions were mostly cloudy, so hope of a beautiful sunset was fading. Then, a small gap on the western horizon allowed the sun to illuminate the clouds, resulting in the scene pictured here. The only challenge for me was to find a good set of cacti. These four were lined up nicely, creating the image seen here.
