Tunnel View Dawn

I woke up quite early to drive from my camp to Tunnel View before dawn in Yosemite National Park. Only a handful of other photographers had also gathered at Tunnel View on this late April morning. As pre-sunrise light spread across the overcast, the clouds turned stunning purples and blues. A light pillar also appeared a little before sunrise. I exposed this image for the brighter clouds, and recovered the foreground from deep shadow during processing.
