I wanted to capture a more unique image of Delicate Arch, without anyone in the picture. This can only be done after the sun goes down, and everyone has left. I shot the original picture at twilight, when there was just enough light to capture the distant Las Sal mountains with a hint of blue sky. I left my camera set up in place for several hours, waiting for complete darkness, so I could light-paint the arch. This enabled the arch to stand out from the background.
