Description

At a little over 10000 feet in elevation Mount Thompson helps to form the Eastern boundary of the Wapta Icefield in Banff National Park in Canada. The Wapta Icefield lies on the Continential Divide at close to 10 000 feet. Reaching the Rocky Summit of Thompson takes a bit of perseverance and a healthy dose technical knowledge while crossing glaciers and climbing high above Bow Lake along the Icefields Parkway in the Canadian Rockies. But thew view from the top is soooo worth it!
