Description

The Palisades are a towering highlight along the John Muir Trail, a group of mountains renowned by hikers and climbers alike. Here the John Muir Trail leads just ahead to Lower Palisades Lake, a superb base under the glacier-carved granite for exploring the high country. It is easy to see why John Muir called the Sierra Nevada the Range of Light.
