Gasadalur features one of the most photogenic waterfalls in the Faroe Islands. This viewpoint across from the village is a popular spot for photographers. On the day I visited a strong wind was blowing in from the ocean, often creating a large cloud of spray around the falls. I wanted to take as long an exposure as possible to smooth out the ocean waves, while avoiding too long an exposure during which the wind would shroud the falls in spray. After much experimenting I settled on a six second exposure taken multiple times. This was the best of numerous images.
