I was driving back from a 6 day hike along the Red Peak Pass loop in Yosemite when I pulled over at a scenic lookout to watch the sunset. The first thing I noticed as the sun sank below the horizon was the pronounced mountain layers. As the sun went below the horizon, the color in the sky kept getting more and more pronounced. This was one of the easiest images I have captured, but you have to be in the right place, and the right time, with the right conditions.
