My wife and I hiked 5 days and 4 nights through the Paria Canyon to photograph it. This particular part of the Paria Canyon had the highest walls we encountered. I took a picture of this particular spot without a hiker in it, but it completely failed to capture the scale. So, I set my camera up on a tripod and composed the picture, got into the frame and my wife took it. It takes a moment for the viewer to notice the tiny figure, then the enormity of the canyon becomes apparent.
