Assignment #439: Spotlit Subjects
Use patience in the field and wait for the light to hit a specific focal point on your subject, whether that’s the face and eyes of an animal or a primary feature in a landscape or nature scene. Doing this while letting the rest of the scene fall into shadow will help draw the viewer’s eye to what you consider the most important part of your composition. Submit your best shots of spotlit subjects by September 30.—Kristan Ashworth, Managing Editor
The winning images from our weekly assignments are featured on the OP Blog, as well as our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
