I’m finding out that pointing my camera in the direction of the sun is getting me some of my favorite images. I like to zoom in on the spots we seldom see. Often these images show the layers of shadows and silhouettes we miss. This is from my trip this winter to the coast of Washington state. I really like this shot of the Bald Eagle and the rocks and the waves. The sun was getting low, and the combination of all the haze in the air and the sunset colors gave everything a yellowish-brown tint. At first glance, it’s hard to tell where the rocks end and the waves begin.
