Description

I love to get up early with my macro lens and photograph flowers and insects just as the sun is rising. One of the benefits to morning is that flying insects are typically docile because their wings are wet and they can't fly. I spotted this blue dasher perched atop a hosta flower stem. I knelt down to get eye level with him and slowly made my way in close to get a closeup head shot.
