Traveled to Haines, AK specifically to photograph the bald eagle congregation. The eagles congregate to eat the dead and dying salmon after the late spawning run up the Chilkat river. Even though there are dead fish everywhere, they prefer to steal another eagle's fish. Usually, they come diving in with their talons out, trying to knock the other eagle off its feet to steal its fish. However, if their adversaries are small, coming in low and menacing is enough to scare them away.
