Lone Tree

I visited the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge just ahead of the first major winter storm of the season to capture the nearly peak fall colors. This dead tree in the middle of the field called to me as a photogenic subject. As the cloud cover increased throughout the day and the temperatures dropped, I had to be patient for any ray of light that peaked through the clouds.
