I was waiting for the sun to set over Mt. Moran when the clouds began to form over the range. Still I waited hoping the sun would be able to peek under the clouds and light them from beneath. It wasn't until it had sunk below the mountains altogether that the lit up the sky beneath the clouds with a golden glow and rays began to shine from beneath the clouds. This was shot on E100SW film in September of 2016 and underexposed by about 2 stops. Later I would digitize it so that I could try to balance the brightness and bring back the detail in the forest & river.
