Description

There was barely a cloud in the sky when I awoke for the late-October sunrise in southwest Ohio’s Paint Creek State Park, but the fog lying low over the lake seemed promising. After making the short, frosty trek down to the lakeshore. The remains of old trees still standing tall in the lake, reminiscent of monoliths, came as a surprise, especially once the sun finally breached the treeline and fell perfectly into place. With the fog all around glowing in a vivid orange, it was definitely a morning to remember.
