Sometimes the things do not go smoothly. After I had been stuck for couple hours in the sand, I was off the badlands after some friendly youngsters help me out with my car.
I had maybe a single hour before sunset and any location for the choosing was at least 10 miles away. I stopped by Clark lake and lied down on the pictured foreground. I refused to use a tripod and focusing shift. This is a hand hold, hand captured image. It is one that is technically not perfect, but nonetheless is one I really love. This situation was complete circumstantial and improvised to say the least.. The clouds and light helped to make this composition.
