This was my first trip to the high country of Kings Canyon National Park. As such, I didn't know the area well, and didn't have a particular spot in mind for photography. When I arrived, there was just enough wind to cause ripples on the main lakes. But this outlet from a creek was sheltered from the wind, and, thus, had mirror-like reflections of the nearby "pinnacles." I set up alongside the outlet and got this photo. It was a truly stunning scene I'll never forget.
