2020 was a challenging year to travel to take photos, so I largely stayed close to NH and was able to take many new and unique images of the surrounding landscape. Picking a single image is difficult, but this sunrise was memorable and difficult to improve upon. The seacoast of NH was largely off limits to vehicle parking due to the pandemic, so I returned many times to the coast by bicycle to shoot compositions depending on the tide, lighting, and weather. The beautifully striated gneiss outcropping and reflecting pool lined up perfectly for this colorful sunrise. Several exposures for focal blending and another to control dynamic range to complete the final image.
