My climbing buddy and I climbed Snowpatch Spire in Bugaboo Provincial Park, in British Columbia, Canada. Having climbed in the Bugaboos several times in the past, I knew carrying my DSLR camera on the climb would be worth the extra weight. After reaching the top of Snowpatch Spire as the sun was setting, I had my buddy walk across one of the summit spires so that he would stand out against the evening sky. As you can tell by the diminished evening light, we had to spend the night, sleeping on our ropes, and descend the next morning. It was a cold night, but worth it to capture this image.
